32 Acres of Château Parkland

The Estate

The Grounds

Château de Lacomté sits within 32 acres (c. 13 hectares) of mature parkland — the former grounds of a historic château, of which atmospheric ruins and period outbuildings remain today. Cedar trees several hundred years old, wildflower meadows and abundant wildlife (rare butterflies, birds of prey, deer) give the estate a sense of place that could not easily be recreated.

A Family Legacy

The current owners acquired the ruined château and its parkland in 1991 and opened the campsite in August 1993 with just 12 pitches, an amenities block, a bar, a restaurant and a swimming pool. Over three decades they expanded the estate pitch by pitch, building the accommodation offer, the restaurant and leisure facilities visitors enjoy today. In 2009 — ahead of the market — they repositioned the site as one of France’s first Adults Only campsites.

The estate is now offered for sale as a complete, trading business with development potential for a new owner.
